खोज बीन is ideate's research wing: an ongoing work that started with a slow, unhurried study of the rohilkhand region of western uttar pradesh. the work started with family memories that had no archive to go into. it has since grown into field visits, archival digs, and conversations with people the mainstream record has largely skipped. in practice, this means the team has been disappearing into the region for years and coming back with stories about rampur greyhounds, dahi jalebi, and archaeological mounds that were almost eaten by a state highway... we did manage to save the mound btw.

As we open our scope to other geographies as well, we thank all our well wishers for all the "अरे यह तो हम बचपन से जानते हैं" moments you gave us! rohilkhand is still home
